Amy Getz is a Senior Program Associate on the WestEd Mathematics team. She taught secondary and college mathematics for 20 years and also led an extensive professional development program for secondary mathematics educators for six years. Amy moved on to work at the Charles A. Dana Center for over 11 years where her work focused on improving entry-level college mathematics programs across states and systems. Her greatest professional interest is improving the mathematical learning, experiences and outcomes for students not traditionally well-served in educational systems. Amy holds a B.A. in English/Theatre with a minor in Mathematics from Fort Lewis College and an M.A. in Secondary Counseling from Adams State University.
