Haley McNamara (she/her) is a research associate in mathematics education at WestEd. She brings over a decade of experience supporting mixed methods research projects and Networked Improvement Communities (NICs) designed to promote equity and inclusion in education, with a focus on mathematics. She is passionate about creating productive learning environments that support identity development and joy and are informed by the lived experiences of students and teachers. As part of the AIMS community, Haley supports the Youth Advisory Panel (YAP) and Educator Council in an effort to elevate the voices of these key stakeholders across AIMS projects. Haley has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and completed a Post-Baccalaureate Fellowship at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching at Stanford University.
