Fiona Read
WestEd
Fiona Read is a Project Manager in the Improvement Science and Mathematics programs at WestEd. Her work focuses on leading complex project operations and fostering cross-program collaboration to strengthen coherence and impact across initiatives. Fiona brings 16 years of experience in education spanning early childhood, K–12, and organizational improvement. Prior to joining WestEd, she served as Director of Special Projects at the California Charter Schools Association, supporting community organizing efforts. She has also worked as a Project Manager for disseminating the Unconditional Education model at Seneca Family of Agencies, and as a Research and Communications Associate at the California Child Care Resource & Referral Network.
Fiona began her career as a preschool teacher and remains deeply committed to advancing equitable and high-quality learning experiences for all children. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Policy and Advocacy from Mills College.
