What are we building?

  • This project is developing a comprehensive R&D infrastructure to investigate and enhance the effectiveness of the Eureka Math² curriculum. This infrastructure will include embedded student assessments, synchronous and asynchronous teacher supports, and integrated tools to capture and analyze teacher knowledge, instructional choices, and identity. It will incorporate tools for A/B testing and Rapid Cycle Evaluation (RCE) to rigorously assess how professional learning and teacher-facing features impact teacher efficacy and curriculum implementation. A dedicated researcher portal will manage and facilitate partnerships, ensuring a streamlined process for continuous improvement and evidence-building.

What are we learning?

  • Professional learning:

    • How professional learning and teacher-facing supports influence implementation fidelity of Eureka Math²

  • Curriculum implementation and supplementation:

    • How specific curriculum features and supplements affect use and effectiveness

  • Student engagement and learning:

    • How student engagement with Eureka Math² is associated with their completion of embedded self-reflection activities

    • How students in the district evolve in their learning and engagement in both Eureka Math and Eureka Math² schools as teachers implement the improved digital platform

Products

  • Embedded research and evaluation tools for use with Eureka Math²

  • Infrastructure to support implementation and ongoing data collection

  • Researcher portal for coordination and dissemination
