The Curriculum and Learning Improvement Project (CLIP) is creating an innovative data ecosystem to support classroom instruction and education research.
Led by NORC and funded by the Gates Foundation, CLIP brings together a consortium to build an integrated education data ecosystem that combines data from learning management systems, student information systems, and curriculum providers.
The project is designed to help content developers and practitioners share data more efficiently and use information to better support students’ middle school math experiences.
The piloted data ecosystem provides teachers, principals, and district leaders with real-time insights into how middle school math materials are used in classrooms, links curriculum implementation to student outcomes, and supports more efficient research and evaluation.
