Purpose/Abstract

The Puerto Rico Department of Education’s Institute of Professional Development and Office of Mathematics developed the ATEMA project, which focuses on teacher mentoring.

The project is run as a randomized control trial in which a group of 4th-8th grade math teachers are trained to use Khan Academy in the classroom to provide differentiated learning opportunities.

This presentation focuses on computer-assisted learning, mentoring, and the future of personalized instruction.
