Purpose/Abstract

Over the course of the 2023-2024 school year, Rice University conducted two experimental intervention studies and four observational studies using its digital RAISE curriculum.

The report found evidence suggesting that adding animations to word problems improved student learning.

The report also found that teachers who used the curriculum during the year improved the number of EOC retesters who approached grade level relative to the prior year.

The report found no meaningful difference between male and female students in reported motivation to learn math.
